Abstract

 

The study was designed to find out the antibiotic susceptibility pattern of bacterial isolates from urine of AIDS patients. Two hundred consecutive AIDS patients with signs and symptoms of AIDS, and non-AIDS patients (served as control) each on admission were recruited into the study between September and December 2003. Urine samples were collected with sterile universal bottles and analysed with appropriate laboratory methods and antibiotic susceptibility test was carried our using modified Stokesí method. The results were analysed using Epi Info version 6, P values
